The Ontario-Montclair Teachers Association is an organization advocating the best practices for the education and welfare of our students and teachers by serving as an equal partner with the community and school district.
OMTA's 1200 members are made up of the teachers, speech and language pathologists, counselors, and nurses of the Ontario-Montclair School District.
Affiliated with the California Teachers Association (CTA) and the National Education Association (NEA), OMTA traces its origins to the Ontario Elementary Teachers Club first organized on December 21, 1940.
We became the recognized bargaining agent for the district's teachers in 1976.
